Thieves and Villains x Daytrotter Session up NOW

Hey All,

A few months ago we visited the Daytrotter Studio in IL to record a few stripped down versions of 4 of our songs. All of it is one take, no overdubs or edits, live in the room and recorded in an hours time. We had a lot of fun and are very happy to share it with you. Head over to Daytrotter.com to check out some really cool artwork, a nice story written about us, and 4 songs for free download (there also may or may not be an appearance from a certain herbal enthusiast towel from South Park Colorado)

NEW SONG x FREE DOWNLOAD x HAPPY 420

”I Hope My Friends Don’t Find Out This Sucks (a song about the road, my parents, and trying to get rich)”

DOWNLOAD HERE:   http://sharehub.me/daf4d

This song was written and recorded today…like a few minutes ago. Free download. Happy 420 everyone. Lyrics below:

I hope my friends don’t
ever find out whats up
I’m on a shit slope
might as well give it up
I’m watchin friends get rich
I’m feelin like some shit
I’m in a Texas town
I drew 2 people out
and now you know

why everywhere I go I’m all alone
you might not think so

mom I hate to make you cry
I’ll make it up sometime and
dad I hate your 9 to 5
but if I make it I will..

I hope my friends dont
ever find out this sucks
I’m sick of shit shows
and kids that dont show up
I’m watching Mike get rich
he said “hey serg….thats it”
I think I’ll bitch and moan
sleep in this van alone

well now you know
why life that glitters isnt always gold
but you might think so

mom I hate to make you cry
I’ll make it up sometime and
dad I hate your 9 to 5
but If I made it I would
if I make it you will

never work again
you will
never work again

never work again
I’m buying diamond chains for all my friends
a house and car for every cent
is what I’d do

Well now my friends now
exactly whats been up
so fuck this shit slope
might as well

never work again
I’m buying diamond chains for all my friends
a house and car for every cent
is what I’d do

FUCK YOU

Invisible for a day? Favorite Toy? What you suck at?

Sergio sits down with the UK’s Riot Magazine about what he’d do if he was invisible for a day, what his favorite toy was, what he can’t live without, and what he sucks at + more right here

So around the last week of recording our recent album “South America” we found out that our label would be releasing the album on vinyl (tight), but they needed a “bonus” track for that version. That bonus track was going to need to be written, recorded, and turned in to them asap so we kinda had to bust ass. After like 5 months of writing and a month straight of pulling 12-14 hour days in the studio (every fuckin day) we were pretty tapped creatively but we said “fuck it.” We got together a couple days after finishing the album (March 2010) and banged out a rough sketch of this song in a few hours. Then we hit up our good friend Goot and headed over to his Poughkeepsie NY studio to record this lil jam. We all chilled, had some good laughs, killed some drinks, and laid this one down. It was all really spontaneous and kind of crafted on the spot. We created the entire outro section by just simply having the ending go on and on. We didn’t know what the hell we were going to do with it until Sergio proposed the idea of recording 3 different tracks of slide guitar over it. We said “why not?” and he did 3 takes back to back to back and that was it. It turned out to be our favorite instrumental section we’ve ever recorded and it’s literally just 3 first takes and some fuckin heart. That’s why we love music and that’s why this track has a feeling to it that we cant really explain. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. If you want to own it, pick up “South America” on vinyl. much LOVE
